Visited this spot twice in one week, which allowed me to try out pretty much all of the delicious sides. Everything I ate was well seasoned and nicely plated. The portions on the main dishes were generous, but the sides weren’t enough to share with more than one other person (order extra). The service was excellent both times with Nia and Gabriel taking care of us. The cocktails were strong and sweet- the way I like them; and the overall vibe very welcoming. It’s pricey and parking can be a challenge, but totally worth the hype.
The ambiance chic and hip-hop infused. I love the cultural aesthetics throughout the entire establishment. Our server--I forgot her name--was awesome. She wore green glasses and had on some eclectic earrings. She waited on us perfectly. She checked in and wasn't overbearing. She knew the menu and recommended some tasty items on the all-you-can-eat selections. Food: The chicken and the special hot sauce were excellent. The grits weren't good; they were extremely watery and grainy. Salmon bites were tasty but a bit salty. Catfish was excellent.
We got food poisoning. Food tasted fine but spent the entire next day super sick. Would not recommend and will not be going back.
We had a good dinner at Marcus. The restaurant is open air with a fun funky vibe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. The menu is large with a nice mix for everyone. The cornbread, chicken and waffles, collard greens and burger were some of our favorites. A good dinner option in the beltline area.
