Marcel in Atlanta offers a great steakhouse experience with a really cool atmosphere that sets the mood for an enjoyable night out. The steaks were cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and the sides were delicious and perfect for sharing, adding to the overall dining experience. The wine list is impressive, with plenty of options to complement your meal. However, the service left something to be desired—it was a bit on the slow side, which dampened the experience slightly. Unfortunately, we also found a piece of plastic in our shrimp appetizers, which is definitely not what you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Despite these issues, the quality of the food, especially the steaks, makes Marcel worth a visit, though the service could use some fine-tuning to match the high standards of the cuisine.
This past weekend my husband and I celebrated our anniversary and Erin gave us such a great dinning experience. She offered great recommendations from drinks all the way through desserts. The service and food were exceptional. We highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for an intimate and romantic ambiance. Don’t forget to request Erin.
Not what it used to be, took about an hour to get entree after appetizers, loud and noisy, waiter studiously avoided us after taking our orders, never addressed delays, knew we were unhappy with everything, no apologies, nothing, food was hit and miss, we should have taken bad reviews seriously.
I know all the steakhouses in ATL and this a go to. It is innovative and fresh when compared to Bones, Chops, Palm, Rathbun's etc. It is comparable to Bones and RB. Pros: cool interior, great server with team service, excellent cocktails, focused menu. Dry aged ribeye awesome served sliced with plates. Bread services amazing! Huge wine list. Nice outdoor patio. Corn and asparagus delicious. Cons: For GM: extremely warm. And they got overwhelmed when crowded but did small things to make up for it.
