I visited Fishmonger with a friend, and we were both blown away by the food! I ordered the blackened fish sandwich, and it was absolutely phenomenal. My friend got the shrimp roll. The flavors were spot on, and while it wasn’t the cheapest option, it was worth every penny. They also validate parking for an hour, which was a nice perk. There isn’t a lot of indoor seating, but they do offer outdoor seating, which worked well for us. Overall, I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back for another great meal!

Ordered the blackened grouper sandwich. The atmosphere is very cool and unpretentious. No table service. Cooking the fish is slow, one guy and he isn't in a hurry it seems. He has two stove top pans going at the same time. Plan on at least 45 minutes to get your sandwich. I NEVER received my sandwich, even after 45 minutes and had to leave for an appointment. So... If you don't have my obligations in your life and can wait an hour for a fish sandwich, this restaurant is for you! If you are a normal person and typically allow 1 hour for lunch, avoid this restaurant. The owners confirms that they are not a fast food restaurant, which I confirmed. I don't know if the sandwich is good or. It because I never got my order. After 45 minutes of waiting I had to leave for an appointment. I got a refund. This is not a fast food restaurant for sure but 45 minutes is a long time to wait for a sandwich....... especially since I never received it. The cashier said "hold on I'm sure it's almost ready" It wasn't

Grouper sandwich was perfectly blackened and seasoned well. Gumbo had the perfect roux but definitely not for the spice intolerant. Staff was incredibly kind still serving despite arriving on a day when the heat wasn’t working.

Loved their local, healthy fish and oysters. The quick fame it's garnered due to the founders is merited. But, what's with taking our orders and then shoving a screen in our faces asking for a 25% and up tip? As a guest, you're expected to put away your dishes, silverware and trash at the end - so the only service is really delivering the food (and if you're inside, that may mean a few steps). Ugh. Additionally, I ate outside the first time - they didn't and still don't have their liquor license - and noticed I'd been charged $6 for my "meal packaging" or something like that. Argh... left a bitter taste in my mouth... after that scrumptious meal.
