We tried this restaurant because it was in walking distance of our hotel and I noticed a lot of people picking up to go orders. The place was very nicely decorated for Christmas and the friendly hostess sat us right away. Pria was our lovely server. She was super friendly, attentive, and recommended some of the popular dishes. We ordered the catfish, and the fried chicken entrees with mac and cheese, collard green, and rice and gravy. Everything thing came out hot, fresh, and delicious! Even the cornbread was sweet and moist. Their homemade lemonade and sweet tea were satisfying. When you're in the peach state, you have to try the peach cobbler. It was warm with spices and a delicious crust. We enjoyed every bite and highly recommend this place if you love southern food. We will be back if we visit Atlanta again.
The food was amazing. It tastes like my grandmother made it. Real down south home cooked soul food. Collard greens, mac n cheese, chicken breast, cornbread, and peach cobbler were phenomenal. Great historical establishment. Great service as well. It's definitely worth the visit.
Fast and friendly service. OK prices. Near lots of other options. Seems clean. Good mac and cheese. Near a bar. It's more local than other options.
This was the worst experience I ever had at a restaurant. I placed an order online for pickup at 11:37 am on 12-15-24. The order was to have a family fried 8 piece meal with mac n cheese and green beans and corn muffins, 2 voodoo shrimp,a vegetable plate with black eye peas, yams, rice w gravy and potato salad, and a meatloaf plate with mash potatoes w gravy and collards. My daughter picks up the food and realize once she gets to the car that the meatloaf plate is not there goes back inside and they tell her there is no mash potatoes or meatloaf but the meal was not credited off the ticket. She had to wait 20 minutes for someone from the management team to figure out how to credit the ticket. Once she gets home we open up the containers and there is a half of container of green beans, half of container of leftover mac and cheese, no collards, 4 yams. I go back up to the restaurant and the assistant general manager advise me that he can't credited my ticket back for this large amount of money which was $87 dollars. I told him I expect some of the amount refunded not all because I did receive some food but not what I paid for. I advised him that the food should have never left the kitchen like that that was poor on the kitchen manager. He advise he had to get permission from the general manager that he would call me by this time it's 2:20 and we had a 3:00 play to attend. Needless to say I never heard back from the assistant general manager. This type of customer service will not keep paschal in business and will ruin their reputation. I pray the management team get the customer service training that is much needed because if you cheated me out of an order placed on line who else have you done this too. Be blessed and get your restaurant in order because it will not success with this type of service.
