Booked a couple of lounges by the pool for 11am, no problems, got placed immediately and had the most wonderful waitress serve us for our time. While it is pricey, you pay for the call, quiet and relaxing nature of the pool area. Food was great, the frozen espresso martini was killer and we'll definitely be back.

My first visit Thursday evening wasn't as impressive as I hoped. We sat at the bar and had the hardest time with service. We sat in front of two bartenders that never acknowledged us. After ten minutes we stopped one to request their attention.. the struggle with service continued our entire visit. Although food was sat in front of us we had to request silverware and napkins. My guest was never given a napkin. Just terrible. If you're going to have an expensive menu, service should be top notch. We chose to eat the appetizers we shared and head downstairs to eat at velvet taco instead. The atmosphere is dope, skyline views and cocktails were certainly the high points of the night. Hopefully my next visit will be better.

I am a member and officer of a prestigious wine/food organization. We are very particular about where we choose to have dinners and we only have five events per year. This was our first visit to LOA Rooftop, and we were not certain what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. LOA Rooftop has magic! They did a spectacular job. I was very impressed and some of our members said this is one of the best dinners that they've had in a long time. That means a lot considering that as members of this exclusive food organization, we are invited as a group to some of the top venues in the ATL . LOA Rooftop exceeded our expectations. Chef Travis Robinson and his team were creative and prepared and delivered a tour de force menu. After sampling four different hors d'oeuvres, on the outside patio overlooking all of Atlanta from a high perch, with a champagne stem in our hand, we entered the Riva dining room and our meal started with a foie gras parfait, and then on to an Asian influenced lobster dish featuring a generous lobster meat and large lobster ravioli, then 36 hour short ribs ( sous vide style) with a pommes dauphine and black truffle sauce. Their pastry chef prepared a deconstructed banana pudding for dessert and petit bons were provided as a sendoff. The wines were perfectly paired. LOA has a very excellent cellar and Colten Murray is a very knowledgeable beverage director and he can direct you to some outstanding wines/ beverages. I even had an opportunity to meet the owners Kelvin Slater and his wife Mandy, and they made me feel welcome as if I was visiting a home away from home. Two of our members were so impressed that they joined this now private club. Few views of Downtown Atlanta are as beautiful as this and in how many places can you take a respite, swim in the middle of downtown, lounge on one of their uber comfortable chaise lounges and then wave a finger and have great drinks and food provided. As the owner Kelvin said, "That is truly Leave of Absence" (LOA) ! Prices are not inexpensive for a dinner of this magnitude, but you 'get what you pay for' and we were willing to pay for a chef to prepare this menu and felt we got value. I am sure they have many other less expensive menu choices, but few venues can deliver the high end this well. They were so nice and we seldom return to the same property, but we look forward to coming back here and soon. Michael J Atlanta

Exceptional food, artistically presented, layered with flavors, reminiscent of our recent dinner at Geranium in Copenhagen. Deconstructed food is an artform, and Chef at Rooftop LOA has mastered the concept in his starters, appetizers and especially desserts. The servers were excellent, advising on the components and consumption of the dishes. A tour de force; a "do not miss" for fans of great food well prepared and beautifully presented.
