This might be our new favorite restaurant!! We chose this spot for our Christmas Eve dinner and EVERYTHING we ordered was AMAZING and the service was great. Our waiter (I think his name was Jay) was kind, funny and took great care of us. The hush puppies, sweet potato corn bread and pork belly are a MUST! The roasted half chicken was cooked perfectly and we ended with the chocolate cake. We sat on the patio which was nice and quiet even on a chilly night, but the whole restaurant had a great ambiance. Will absolutely be back! 10/10!!!
Pricey but very good food and service. Everything was delicious. Menu was limited and I wish they had offered some complementary bread or something in the beginning. We ordered 3 appetizers. Mac and cheese, beetroot salad and deviled eggs. For main we got 2 of the short rib entree and the shrimp and grits. It was very tasty . Super juicy and succulent
For the last night of our USA holiday we ventured to this restaurant and were not disappointed. My main course (Pork chop) was excellent and the dessert equally good. The location is nice and service was very good. Portion size good also!
Conveniently located in Buckhead Village, The Southern Gentleman keeps pace with its surroundings by offering delicious fare in a fun environment with knowledgeable staff. While many restaurants today offer "high end" traditional Southern fare, The Southern Gentleman manages to combine the homey nature of the food with culinary excellence. My wife and I began with cocktails - She's a Peach and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - both of which were very good. We also had sweet tea, which was delicious. Our appetizers were deviled eggs and steak tartare - the tartare was some of the best I have recently enjoyed, with a genuine, prominently beef flavor. My entree was a rib eye, prepared perfectly, and my wife had a similarly well-made pork cutlet. For dessert we enjoyed the delightful chocolate cake and the blueberry buckle. Our waiter was excellent and very helpful in selecting our meals - it was a pleasure to chat about the food with him. The atmosphere was lively and loud, which added a festive mood. I am also glad that The Southern Gentleman validates for two hours of parking in the nearby deck. I highly recommend The Southern Gentleman for those who desire quality Southern fare made from the best ingredients in a business casual eating environment.
