We came here for a very rare, precious date night out on a budget 😅 and this place is AMAZING! We ran late, and when we called to say so, they kindly still allowed us the early evening menu. The food was spectacular and beautifully presented, from the perfectly warm house sourdough to the pretty as a picture cured halibut starter to the warming pork cheek and mash main to the popping candy in the chocolate dessert. The space is gorgeous, with just the right level of bustle and light for a romantic meal. Service was so friendly and welcoming despite our being late. And at the end of our evening they offered us a kitchen tour! The icing on the top was meeting their kitchen team, who are happy and well treated (not the case in many restaurants) to the point where they go climbing together on their days off! A must try if you want a special evening.
Another wonderful meal at Elystan. It feels like coming home! As ever, a wonderful welcome, great staff, and a superb meal-the Turbot curry was an absolute winner. It is the perfect restaurant. Thank you everyone there.
