Food was alright probably like a 3/5 than a 4. It was very reasonably priced but the food was just not it and my Indian co-reviewer completely agreed with me. Service was amazing but unfortunately the food was not on the same par. At the end of the day others might think different but its a no from me.
What an excellent find! We went this evening as Tayyabs was the usual malarkey of long queues. Excellent food, I’d argue better than Tayyabs but more importantly we were hosted by such a nice gentleman - Ali Bhai. He was impeccable in terms of his mannerism and demeanour.
So I wrote previously that standards had dropped in terms of food quality - the grill no longer being the sizzling array of meats it used to be… but the place is increasingly becoming a scam. The grill was again disappointing - it seems microwaved and then put on a platter - the give away was the fresh onions underneath. If it had been grilled and sizzled properly the onions would be crisp brown! The grills used to be served sizzling and steaming. Not anymore. But beyond that, we didn’t ask but were given a plate of popadoms. If you are given them when you haven’t ordered them, you rightly assume they are complimentary. No, we were charged for them in the bill - £4 for 4 popadoms! Then we were also given a bottle of water which we didn’t order so you assume complimentary, again No, a further £4… surely if I haven’t ordered something and you put it in table such as popadoms and water, it’s assumed complimentary. No, they are just fleecing you out of cash cos it’s all added to the bill. It feels intentional and like a scam! This place has lost its standards - food wise and from its ethos! Avoid
This looks really nice from inside out but unfortunately the food was a let down I ordered a mix grill and believe me I have better, the biryani and lamb curry some old over old I’d give this place a 6/10
