Really enjoyed each visit at this restaurant - it’s also a bit easier to get a booking vs their King’s Cross branch. There’s a nice area upstairs and downstairs. The menu has so much to choose from, and food has been very nice every time we’ve been.
Had a nice lunch at this Hoppers at St. Christopher’s place in marylebone. Laid back ambience. Service staff were extremely attentive and efficient. It gets busy at lunch time with the business crowd so booking ahead is a good idea. The food was great; flavorful without being overpowering. I particularly enjoyed the green peppercorn chicken, which managed to be moist while having a somewhat crispy exterior. The deviled tofu was delicious. Spice levels are quite high even when described as mild. Free sparkling water is a nice touch. Prices are reasonable for central London.
Food was just about OK. Service was OK but given the noise level I struggled to hear the waiter. Unfortunately the front door was being repaired so there was a cold wind blowing through the restaurant. And at first they refused to accept legal tender (i.e. real money) and lied that it was a condition clearly stated in the booking - when I checked, it wasn't! So, reluctantly and with a great deal of fuss, they accepted payment for the food and drinks in legal tender.
Very good food with excellent service from the staff. We started with the mutton rolls and Devilled Paneer both of which were excellent. For our mains we had the masala dosa which again was terrific. Overall a great dining experience and a restaurant we will surely revisit
