Mambow

Absolutely stupendous meal, best I’ve had in some time. Some of the dishes were out of this world, especially the prawn toasts and cured fish. I danced a little dance of delight ans I wolfed down the squid. And the staff were great too, it’s always a pleasure to be congratulated when you’ve demolished a plate of awesome chicken wings. Very well done to mambow indeed

I’ve been wanting to go to Mambow for awhile and finally went last night. The food was quite good, really liked the chicken wings and bavette salad. However, was actually a bit disappointed with the prawn toast, probably just a personal taste thing but I didn’t think there much curry flavour nor could I really taste the prawn. The main disappointment when it came to food though was the rice. I was really looking forward to having rice with the food as many dishes are quite saucy. However, we weren’t served the rice until our main dishes (chicken curry and ribs) came out and the rice was undercooked. In terms of service, the waitresses were very friendly and nice, but a few issues were that one of our dishes was whisked away from our table before we had even finished it and so quickly that we couldn’t even protest. And when we wanted to order another portion of wings towards the end of the sitting we were denied because we were running out of time. But we were sitting at the table for at least another half an hour waiting for dessert and then a while for the bill. But maybe the wings do take a while to make… In which case I would understand. So overall, my first visit was quite disappointing, but I will definitely want to go back again. I’m sure it’s not always like this.

My friend and I really enjoyed our meal here today! The prawn toast was to die for, and the squash curry was amazing. Dishes are super tasty and presented in creative ways. Look forward to coming back soon.

It’s ok. Average food, a bit overpriced. Pounding techno music so you can’t relax. Staff are v nice. Wouldn’t go back though.
