Definitely one of the best experiences I had in London. The food was incredible, my personal favourite was the fish and the gazpacho. The desserts were great and the vegan one for me was mind blowing as I usually find them to lack flavour. We also did the wine pairing as well and thought it added so much to the experience. The only thing to improve I’d say is the timing, the wait especially in the beginning was a bit long and dinner ended up lasting a long time too.
A fantastic experience—exceptional British seafood with a modern twist, where every dish was simply outstanding. The wine pairings were spot on, complementing the flavors perfectly. The service was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Set in a beautifully decorated, modern restaurant, it made for an unforgettable dining experience.
I don't often review restaurants in the UK, but I felt I had to review Lyle's. We booked this as we were led to believe it was a top restaurant, and we wanted to celebrate our son's birthday. We then heard the food was okay, tasteless, expensive, etc. This made us very apprehensive, and certainly, the Tripadvisor reviews were mixed. Nonetheless, we still went ahead, and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with welcomes and smiles. The food was really good—fresh seasonal ingredients, well presented, and all the dishes we had were delicious. There was none of the style over substance I see so often in London restaurants now. However, if I were to grumble, some dishes were on the small side. Excellent choice of drinks which worked well with the dishes. Service was exceptional. Friendly, polite, and gravitating toward the guests - as it should be! Just a wonderful experience overall. Thank you.
We came here for our anniversary lunch (sadly can no longer do dinner since we're new parents). The array of dishes on the menu was great and made me try some things I normally would not order - like the whole mackerel. Vibe was very shoreditch. Attentive staff. Wine's are a bit too organic for me but the pea shoot margarita was amazing.
