Rita’s is a great choice for a Monday or Tuesday night. The service was excellent, and the food was good for the price. Most dishes could use a bit more salt or an extra kick to make them more memorable. The steak was cooked accurately, though the three-pepper sauce felt unnecessary. The fried quail was also enjoyable, though not as iconic as expected. Two out of the three desserts were good and complemented the meal well. Considering the price, intimate atmosphere, and good service, Rita’s is a cute spot for a midweek outing.
The cocktails were genuinely great! The food was delicious. I would say that it is slightly overpriced. The steak was excellent quality, but the tartar could’ve had a bit more flavour, considering it's grilled. Sardines have delicious sauce, but the sardines themselves were not as fresh as you’d expect for that price. A charming place overall perfect for a date night or meeting with girlfriends🙂
The food and service at Rita's is exceptional. Owned and operated by the same family that owns Hall's Chop House in downtown Charleston the excellence is certainly carried over in their beach location.
Rita's sits in the middle of downtown Folly. The pier and shops are all nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, my lunch arrived missing the fries, and I was half finished before they were replaced. And the shrimp were just plain tough.
