Petersham Nurseries Restaurant in Richmond is a lovely spot that feels like the British countryside. Surrounded by a beautiful garden, it’s peaceful and relaxing. The food is well-prepared and perfect for a weekend lunch. A great escape just outside London.
The interior is charmingly vintage and romantic, with quick service and parking available. Most of the food is grown locally and organic. Desserts are not tasty and overly sweet. The rest of the food isn’t extraordinary but still delicious.
We were at Petersham Nurseries for a celebratory birthday tea party yesterday. A family argument erupted (as they tend to do during this season of goodwill to all men) and our celebration was in ruins….however, the wonderful Manager, Millie, and her lovely staff at the Petersham Nurseries saved the day. I am so grateful to her and to them, and will certainly return for a calmer meal in the future.
6 of us indulged ourselves with a great set dinner menu and the atmosphere, coctails and food was awesome. Not the value option de sure but one to love coming close to christmas with the lights and awesome atmosphere. Food is local, seasonal and lovely-drop-in for tea
