Once you get past the convoluted booking system and get the magical text it’s brilliant. The quality of ingredients is fantastic everything is fresh and perfectly cooked. I loved the combination of salad and pasta and forced a slice of tart down too! Wine is excellent and on tap and sparkling water is free.
Food was absolutely delicious. We shared a few things. Would defineily go back and try some other things. We had the Bruschetta with Black Iberiko tomatoes & wild oregano to start and the Tagliarini with dried chilli, garlic & pangrattato, Agnolotti of Delica pumpkin, Westcombe ricotta & sage butter, and Fettuccine with Cobble Lane nduja, mascarpone & lemon. All was delicious but my favourite was the pumpkin one - so creamy and delicious. It was amazing being able to see it all made fresh, little chaotic but it’s a super busy restaurant and you can very much enjoy your time there. We sat surrounding the kitchen but there’s more seating downstairs. You have to join a virtual queue so worth getting there early or explore borough market after joining.
I recently ate in padella, Shoreditch. And it exceeded my high expectations in every area, including the service. Our waiter was both personable and professional. The food was like no other , the standard of the food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised that children eat for free, with a generous adult portion. The slow cooked tomato sauce, Dorset crab, lemon and chilli and the cacio e pepe were all a must try. The next time we are in London we cannot wait to go back .
visited the Padella restaurant located in Borough Market last week. for main course I orderd cavatelli cavolo nero and for dessert i chose pear & almond tart. Great service, accurate recommendations and directions to recommended dishes, great food at a high level, warm and pleasant atmosphere, service at an exceptional level. and one stunning waitress which upgraded the visit to particularly enjoyable one ❤️ can't wait for next time there
