Sitting at the counter was an incredible experience. I was traveling solo and only had to wait about 30 minutes at prime dinner time on a Saturday night to be seated. The food was absolutely incredible. I have been to 3 star restaurants that I’ve been less impressed with the food. Each dish was complex, creative, and flavorful and the drinks list did a great job of complimenting the food. It was so cool sitting at the counter and getting to watch the chefs in action. All around amazing (and shockingly inexpensive) experience, I will be back any time I’m in London in the future!
I've been coming here for years and it's consistently amazing with consistently great staff. I don't think I've had a single bad dish or bad experience with the team. I came this Saturday however, and somehow they surpassed my previous already great experiences. The calm of the head chef, skill and genuine enjoyment from all of the staff was amazing. Don't change a thing! I've always visited the counter - still need to make it upstairs!
Such high expectations and somewhere we have wanted to visit for ages. Luckily we got a seat at the counter. However, the Tapas menu was very limited and the waiter recommended two dishes that were virtually identical. My wife is Spanish, from Galicia and was very disappointed with the food. Very expensive, but I guess it is a Michelin starred restaurant in the heart of London. I don’t mind paying good money for excellent food, but this was poor value for money. My real gripe was the inclusion of a 14.5%, service charge as I think all service charges should be earned and not simply included on the bill.
Recommended by Chef friend to go here and it didn’t disappoint. Buzzy, lively bar seating at an open kitchen. Food first class - simple and tasty Spanish tapas with the best ingredients. Can’t recommend highly enough!
