My husband and I were excited to try Revelry, given its Michelin reputation. Unfortunately, our lunch visit on August 30th was disappointing from the moment we arrived. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the service was cold and unwelcoming. The hostess greeted us without a smile, and the staff's lack of warmth persisted throughout our visit. We were hoping for an experience worthy of a Michelin restaurant, but the food, though marketed as a fusion of Indian flavors, failed to impress. Portions were small, especially considering the high prices. While the decor was nice, the atmosphere was completely undermined by the staff's lack of enthusiasm. Dining at a Michelin-rated restaurant should be memorable, but Revelry fell short. Significant improvements in service and hospitality are needed to live up to its reputation.
My husband and I visited Revelry on the eve of Diwali, and we had a very nice experience. The food, the ambience and the staff were all absolutely wonderful. Special shout out to our attentive server, Lakshman! Great Indian tapas restaurant with some really cool cocktails
Though the dollar signs frightened us, we figured we're on vacation... (though the night before we ate at The Chocolatier, which was also pricey but the food was horrible). Back to Revelry... I know a good meal when I have one and this was it. Our waiter, Jim H., was not just a waiter - he was pure entertainment with the way he suggested items and was agreeable to certain substitutions. I cleaned my plate for the first time in a very long time and would eat there daily if I could afford it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Make sure you have a reservation; we were turned away. Couldn't find a space for 3 people. We wanted to celebrate my grandson's 8th birthday. Ended up at the Fire and Grain, they didn't have a problem seating us although it was in the back by the door.
