A really nice place to go out to with a great menu and wine selection! While the pizzas were okay, the pastas and desserts were out of this world. I would recommend the Pumpkin Raviolo, Mushroom Risotto, Cavatelli Ragu and Tiramisu! Make sure to savour their own brand olive oil and wine.
It was delicious Italian dinner with amazing dishes. My main recommendation is Polpo e potate (Charcoal grilled octopus, yellow and purple baby potatoes, orange and red onion gel) and Vitello tonnato di Fassona (Thiny sliced Fassona Piemontese veal eye round, tuna sauce, roasted hazelnuts, cranberry and celery). The restaurant has friendly staff. On Sunday we were able to sit at a table without a reservation.
We thought the waiter was very pushy, practically implying that we weren’t ordering enough. We have been coming to Dubai for 17 years, visiting all top restaurants, including at the Burj, and never experienced this. I also thought the days of listing prices WITHOUT taxes and “municipality charges” in Dubai were long gone, and this was an unwelcome surprise. At the end of a two week holiday, Il Borro ended up being our most expensive meal (albeit by a small margin) and probably the worst.
Located within the stunning Al Naseem hotel next to turtle lagoon, this is a beautiful restaurant. The menu is extensive, packed with Italian classics. There were three of us for a business lunch and two had pasta, including gnocchi, and I had a spicy pizza. The main meals were delicious and fresh, as was the bread served as an accompaniment. Prices were reasonable for the quality.
