Located on the 27th floor of Al Burj Arab, this French Michelin starred restaurant is a must try. Service is friendly and not superficial. It was one of the best birthdays ever. My favorite, though, is the intricate flower desert. The most delicious lemony little "caviar" i have ever tried.
Of course this place is incredible, it’s in the world’s only 7 star hotel, which is on its own island. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with menu choices. We went for our wedding anniversary and they set the table up with rose petals and gave me a lovely bunch of flowers at the end! Really nice touch. Food is exquisite.
At AED 1500 a head for taster menu and a drinks you expect something amazing but sadly it was average at best. Restaurant itself is soleless, stupid awful ceiling lights that reflect of the windows so there is no view at all when it's dark. Taster menu was a mouthful each of eight dishes. Three were swamped in a salty broth, one was small ravioli which contained a liquid foie gras and tasted if it was off- it was really awful🫣 A single slice of duck with a small piece of beetroot was ok but it was just that and again barely a mouthful. Two desert tasters, can't remember one of them and the other was apply source. Do you know what the more I think about it the more I realise just how bad the meal was. Service was excellent, restaurant boring - walls had flashing panels like something out of Star Wars.. Shame as loved the Burj Al Arab, cant believe they let this guy run their signature restaurant. And dont do a dinner package with your hotel room, cost us AED 2200 for two whch they cancelled and only credited AED650 against each meal. Must have cost of £700 for this meal..
This was a return visit after a previous great experience, only to be ripped off this time. I DO NOT recommend to go to this place EVER, I do spend a lot on restaurants, with pleasure but 500Euro for 2 glasses of Champaign is on a global scale unacceptable (especially when that price was never mentioned)
