Amazing fine dining experience. I haven’t been impressed by a fine dining restaurant in a long long while because I find that most restaurants gunning for their stars end up gravitating towards the same-ish presentation / taste / concept. Reduction of this, emulsion of that, hey let’s dump loads of $$$ ingredients together and call it a day… It gets boring. Sorn was food that actually tasted memorably good. I love Southern Thai food and this was the perfect blend of texture and flavor with great thought put into making the spices elevate (not hide!) the freshness of the raw ingredients used. Chef was also gracious in accommodating our insanely late arrival (broken google calendar meant that our timezone didn’t adjust properly and we were nearly an hour late) Top quality experience all round. Will be back.
Definition of fine dining. The table service was lovely and food came at a good pace. Appreciated that the chef came to personally greet us and ask us about our spice level. Amazing seafood and curries. Signature dish was a spicy crab claw and we enjoyed the salad and omelette. Delicious wine pairing (especially sake). Only knock is that they don’t offer a cocktail menu and I wasn’t crazy about the desserts.
Excellent on multiple levels. Beautiful calm refined dinning setting. Good beautifully prepared and presented, warning can be very spicy ask for mild… Good, informed and attentive service. Had an excellent evening.
I don’t rely on Michelins because I believe we have our own preferences. Hands down to Sorn. Im Thais born and grew with a lot of good food memories. Sorn taste is expanding my flavor profile. Not talk about the freshness and quality but the soul is very pure and unique. Must try if you have chance.
