You want good swahili food, a good experience, the owners are very friendly, the food & drinks service is quick. Less vegetarian options. So I have my usual Zege. Lunch buffet is also provided here starting with 8000tsh.
"I had a fantastic experience at Jackie's bar. Everything was absolutely perfect—the food, the service, and the ambience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great dining experience!
If you read the title of this review and continued reading, this is the place for you! Fun, local hangout in Dar. I hade the grilled goat with chips, which was quite tasty. They offer at least four types of Tanzanian beer. The staff was friendly and played various 90s hip hop music on the speaker. Jackie’s is a nice, affordable option for untraditional travelers.
The menu contained limited vegetarian options, however the bountiful buffet served up quite a delicious lunch. It took a bit of cajoling to loosen up the server, who seemed to ba having a really bad day. In the end, she loosened up a bit and earned her tip. Good food. Mediocre service.
