I have been here three or four times. It has a great atmosphere. It's an ideal place for a date night. It is the only restaurant in Dar with a huge selection of vegan options. It has a dedicated vegetarian menu that has many vegan options. I think it used to be a fully vegan restaurant when it started. The food is alright.
Truly amazing vegan food (with a separate meat menu as well.) The portions are huge. The quality of the produce and dishes is the best I’ve had in all of Tanzania. Everything is fresh, well-cleaned and well-prepared. The vegetable balls were my favorite, as were te vegan crab cakes. But I was happy that big side salads were served free of charge with everything
Kind Earth is a secret paradise set in a beautiful garden where visitors can select from an extensive menu of interesting, imaginative vegan dishes. The two of us were staying in one of the comfortable, quiet and spotless rooms on site and ate on three evenings so had six meals all of which were delicious featuring mushrooms, stir fried vegetables, and soups. The courtyard bar offers a great selection of cocktails including local speciality Konyagi and all the staff were attentive and super friendly. For us, Kind Earth is the perfect place to stay and eat in Dar es Salaam.
I do takeaways once a month. I love the portion size; one order can feed two people. The lentil loaf is yummy, as are the sauces accompanying the vegetable dishes. The staff are kind and answer questions on the menu very well.
