Excellent in all ways. Staff: efficient, polite. Service: attentive yet not intrusive. Drinks: wide choice Food: awesome View: super view of Coco beach far away Retro touch: an antique Royal Enfield motorcycle on display, very nostalgic memories Overall: very impressive, highly recommended Tip: If using Bolt or Uber, search for NBC Coco Plaza. Because the first time I went, Bolt took me to another location, probably the previous location.
Coming away from the beach we looked up and we saw the George and Dragon seeing this we thought we would check it out as it is an English style pub and then we saw the menu stay in a Sunday dinner with the English style so before we go up and check out and wow we were truly blown away literally had the same feel at all different currency of money on the wall which I found interesting they did not have the new £10 note luckily I had some on me so they can put it on the wall the staff are so friendly and so helpful always making sure that you drink is still there and open I tried that pizza and it was lovely square pizza and it was nice to meet the owner speaking to him and he and he did live in our hometown from the UK Portsmouth what is the odds of that we had a great time up here on a Sunday midday thank you for your hospitality and we will definitely come here again
So, what of the least welcoming places, because the large African guy has a habit of opening the door at a crack then slowly letting you in, and keeping your bag by the door if you just bring in a book and some soya sauce or something. You get the feeling its a club and you are a potential terrorist. The Indian manager is nice enough and apologises for the rude door man. He wouldn't even let me have my bag when I asked for it and it almost got into a fight. Really, that guy should wait outside and check people outside and know that he is working FOR the customer, which means for the pub and not in his own Rambo movie.Their bacon and egg roll is also very meagre. The fish and chips WAS great, then I ordered another, yeucchhh. Someone has to train the door man. There are things I like about the place and I have always spent money there, but he is ruining it. He is not nice to people, treating them as if they are a threat whereas HE is the threat!
An English pub in the middle of Africa. A very friendly and welcoming pub offering lovely Sunday roast meals for those missing them. Greeted on arrival and taken to a vacant table, this place is just like an English pub back home. The menu has a good selection of meals catering for most appetites. Just like an English pub there is a number of internal and external darts areas. Outside there is a large BBQ area to cater for small and large groups. Big screens allow punters to watch various sporting events while enjoying a good selection of beers, cocktails and wines. Will definitely visit if we are in Oyster Bay again. Thanks to Hennie and Matthew who introduced us to the delights within. Special thanks for such a welcoming place for the owner, Adam and Sheena the darts team manager.
