One of the finest restaurants in Dar es Salaam. The whole experience of sharing food in a traditional Ethiopian platter, the nice first floor veranda, the Tanzanian night sky, the furniture and the music add to a unique experience. All the dishes we tried were well cooked and tasty but the lamb was delicious! The service was very polite and genuinely friendly and the prices were reasonable for tourists.

My last visit to this restaurant was… 20 years ago… and it’s still there! This only should be seen as positive sign! Our dinner was nice, but maybe slightly below our expectations. The place and the atmosphere on the terrace are great. The food was very good, although not exceptional, with an injeera that was definitely lacking some taste and sauces that would have deserved a more generous amount of spices. The service was unfortunately not at the same level, with half our order forgotten and thus dishes arriving with long intervals. Not ideal when the very principle is to eat everything together. Still a good address but should do better.

This is an amazing place. The atmosphere and ambiance was exceptional. Warm welcome, great service and the most amazing food. We had two vegans and three veggies, no problem. Be ready to share and eat with your hands and informal tables. Our only request would be for a little more light.
