Amazing Sri Lankan Flavors! This place serves incredible authentic Sri Lankan dishes. Great service, generous portions, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend for a true taste of Sri Lanka!
We recently dined at Upali’s and had a pleasant experience overall. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing authentic tastes that we really enjoyed. However, the service was a bit slow, and we found ourselves waiting longer than expected for our food. Another minor issue was the papadums — some were not crispy and seemed undercooked, which was a little disappointing. Despite these small setbacks, we still had a good dining experience and would return for the tasty dishes. A bit more attention to service and quality control would make the experience even better.
We recently visited this establishment and, unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. Despite waiting for over 20 minutes, we were not provided with a menu, and multiple attempts to get the attention of the waitstaff were ignored. When we tried to place our order, no one seemed to care, leaving us frustrated and ultimately deciding to leave for another restaurant. It gave us the impression that the staff prioritized tour groups, possibly due to better tips from the guides, while locals like us were completely overlooked. Additionally, the atmosphere was chaotic and uninviting, which only added to our dissatisfaction. To make matters worse, when we raised our concerns with the management as we were leaving, they appeared uninterested and dismissive. We will never visit again this place again.
I suggest this restaurant to have a good front desk staff member to welcome the guests and making sure guest can make their orders in time. Staff are friendly but most of the time they are too busy noticing guests coming in and making them served.
