Very nice atmosphere and great service. Paid attention to details and dishes very well presented and elegant. Nice ambience and good drinks quality. However, dishes were very nicely presented but we expected them to be more tasty. Textures very good but flavor relied to much in side sauces. Not sure about food quality. 70€ per person. Worthy to give it a try hard to repeat.

A lovely restaurant, however it’s extremely expensive for the quality and quantity of food received. The food is well presented, but something is lacking in the flavour. I really liked that all the dishes are served for two people, already split equally, I haven’t seen this in many places and really enjoyed the concept.

I gave three stars for my review, but I wanted to give two stars? The reason I’m giving three stars is because the service and the environment is nice. The problem I have is I think the restaurant is confused? There is a strange thing in western restaurants approaches to creating Asian and Japanese-based food that makes the assumption that rice and raw fish equals some form of sushi and that fancy names and combinations of foods make good Fusions. The problem with the food experience that I had at this restaurant was that nothing I ate had a distinct flavor profile. It’s not really sushi and it’s not really high cuisine, although it’s presented that way. The Sushi is not really prepared particularly well and each individual Portion had no distinct, taste or flavor profile. If you speak with any really great sushi chef, they will tell you that the first primary ingredient in good sushi is the rice, and that takes a lifetime to master. This restaurant could be really good, but the flavor profiles were so inconsistent that it was hard to really get a sense of what the chef was trying to accomplish? The first starter we had was edamame And it was good and then it kind of went downhill from there. The crab salad was so overly salted that you couldn’t taste the crab? Then the various sushi platter pieces that we had had no distinct flavor, and the rice was not very well prepared. The dessert was just bizarre and I can’t really describe it other than to say don’t order what they are calling cheesecake because it’s anything but cheesecake. It’s more like a warm quiche that wasn’t cooked enough. I think that this restaurant could be really interesting, but they need to clarify what the chefs vision is in terms of what he’s trying to offer and get the flavor profiles to be more distinct and flavorful. It might be worth the chefs time to actually study with a sushi master and understand what makes a good sushi meal. I unfortunately feel that I would not go back because I think the pricing and the food experience are not congruent.
