Ethos was a truly 10 out of 10 experience for us. I was introducing my partner to my mother, and we couldn't have chosen a better place to do it. The atmosphere was relaxed and comforting. The food was really good, their lamb ravioli is to die for! The best part of the night was when our waiter pulled me aside and asked if we were celebrating an occasion. I told him what was up, and he brought my partner a delicious sponge cake, and written on the plate was "You're Perfect" in chocolate. That was a really special moment, thanks so much guys. Great memories were made :)
Everything was just right. Friendly service, delicious food probably the best I’ve had in a while and just an overall lovely evening for our anniversary last night 🥰
Starters arrived and you could smell and taste the smoke of an open fire (not sure how this was done). Had bones in the chicken skewers. Mains arrived and there was no searing on the steak nor was there any favour. The jus was over reduced and didn't taste nice. The roast potatoes were amazing. Dessert was also a let down.
The food was great from starters to dessert. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the service, which is what should make this restaurant stand out from the rest. We went there to celebrate my partner's birthday and I specifically asked for this when making the reservation. The service was on an ad-hoc basis and they forgot the special dessert. I had to ask for this.
