During my visit to Johannesburg, I was on the hunt for really good food and after a bit of research, found this place. I went specifically for the tasting menu and it did not disappoint. In big on flavor and while not ALL the dishes hit with mark in that area, they were still pretty tasty. The staff were friendly, described each dish carefully and I loved my wine pairing. My friend went with the cocktail pairing and I had a taste of that too, very delicious! The plating of each dish was very thoughtfully and beautifully done as well. This is definitely is place I would keep returning to for each different tasting menu.
Simply glorious. We celebrated my birthday with my twin sister and my visiting sister from Scotland. We all ordered the Prix Fixe Menu and each course was delicious. The meal presentation looked like works of art, and the tastes were sensational. I was pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes, no sarcastically small "tasting" portion here! The staff were friendly, attentive and unobtrusive and when they heard it was a celebration they made us feel very special. All in all a thoroughly delightful experience, one I would highly recommend.
I enjoy this restaurant for an upmarket foodie experience. I like entertaining clients and friends here over lunch in particular. I particularly like the Fixe Prix menu and find it good value for money for the culinary experience given. Tastes and presentation is really good. Service is discreet and professional. The ambiance is sedate and quiet. It is an unassuming place that exceeded my expectations first time round and makes me want to go back to experience the next Fixe Prix menu!
The worst expensive meal eaten in my life, overrated , waiters have attitude when you complain , Food undercooked tasteless, cold and extremely expensive
