We recently visited the Norwood branch. While the starters arrived hot, as we had ordered, the mild curries were disappointingly bland. Unfortunately, the experience worsened as all four of us ended up with cramps and diarrhoea, which left us even more dissatisfied.
Placed an order for a Tandoori platter for 2, order was delivered via Uber eats, order arrived and it was barely an order for 1 person, order costed R172. 50, besides the portion size it looked, smelt and tasted disgusting, the entire thing was thrown in the bin, when I called the store the manager new exactly what I was going to complain for, his response was to complain to Uber and get a refund, I hope this review gets to as many potential customers so they also don't get scammed as I did. As you can see from the pics attached it was 4 pieces of chicken nuggets and this red skewer resembling a shiek cabab
Slow service. Taste not up to usual standard and zero management intervention. Will not recommend nor visit there again. Shame on you for dropping from a five star experience.
Sadly Thava seems to have last it’s touch, food was mediocre at best, also a rip off, I had 5 little blocks of lamb in my R166.00 curry. My tender lamb wasn’t tender, not sure if it was even lamb to be honest. Will definitely try other curry houses, suggest you do the same. Once you start going downhill and have to rip people off to make money, it’s tough to get back on track
