Staff were very friendly and attentive, food was ok. We had requested the excess food we taken and take away bags. However, what I admired is that the restaurant itself can also do the service of giving the excess food to the ones in need.
The restaurant is in the mall and faces the walls of the haram. It's loverly to sit there and regain energy after a beautiful umrah visit and, of course, tiring day. The food was good but it usually is busy even late at night so we had to wait a bit before our food came. Seats are nice and service is OK.
AVOID this restaurant unless you want to eat HAIRY food! We dined at the Mado at Jabal Omar. One of the items we ordered was the dynamite chicken pizza. We were just over half way through the pizza, and as my husband bit into another slice, he choked on a large piece of HAIR. He spat out the food, along with the HAIR and alerted the waiter. The waiter took the remaining pizza and the hair with him back to the kitchen. A FAT and UGLY Arab chef appeared - his name is either Ahmed or Muhammad. Once you look at him, you’ll NEVER eat here again! He was RUDE and would not accept liability for the HAIRY food! He told us that he didn’t know where it came from, but was not at all apologetic or concerned about what had happened. It was as though it was a reoccurring event in the restaurant, so it didn’t bother him at all. We paid for our food and left as quickly as we possibly could. It is safe to say we would NEVER return here again. Appalling customer service!
