It is very difficult to communicate in English in the restaurant, and misunderstandings may occur, It is necessary to use a Russian translator, but misunderstandings can also occur, After ordering, you must reconfirm with the waiter, the food aspect is ok.

The ambiance brings you back to the Soviet times. The food is good (especially the Borsch and the Stroganoff filet). The personnel have been nice to us.

My first night in St Petersburg and I found this cozy place with a wide range of Russian cuisine. I had the Vareniki filled with Potato n Mushrooms and.... Pancakes with chicken and bechamel sauce. Both were delish. The vodka shots were really good and strong. Warmed me up since it was cold out there. The restaurant has a nice play area for kids. Warm hospitality and yes... My waitress spoke English. I'll definitely go there again to try their soup and Chicken Kiev. I highly recommend this place.
