It was my second visit to this restaurant and I can recommend it for it authentic cuisine, atmosphere. If you want to feel your self in Russian countryside and you want to try Russian cuisine, this place is for. This time I tried Borsch and Olivie. Both dishes were outstanding.
Lovely hidden gem! Everything we had was delicious (especially the anchovies for starters), really high quality product, and the drinks were delicious and original (we loved the honey raisin homemade drink). The service was impeccable, our waitress was great and gave us excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is really nice as well.
Fantastic restaurant, quiet and whimsical atmosphere, great food, gorgeous vodkas. Felt like we were transported back to C19 Russia - was magical. Highly recommend the lemongrass vodka! Spent two weeks in St Petersburg and this was my favourite restaurant by far. Hope I can revisit again.
My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant during our vacations. Eventhough we visited several restaurants this one disappointed us. First thing we noticed when we entered the restaurant is unpleasant scent of food. We though maybe it's some specific details of the atmosphere. But service also wasn't very good. There were moments when presence of server was annoying. Most disturbing thing was that table with all glasses was next to us, so whenever new guests came server was collecting glasses which created unpleasant noise. Most dissatisfying thing was that my boyfriend got poisoned. He claims that Kiev Cutlet weren't very nice, most probably they caused the problem. My boyfriend couldn't eat for two days and had a high temperature. You can make your own decisions whether you want to visit this restaurant, but my advice is to avoid this place.
