The food here is delicious. I came with my 2 friends and they were also impressed. We had the traditional dishes and while we ate there was a saxophone player walking around which elevates the experience for sure! Definitely order dessert all the dishes we had were tasty.
Overpriced, with average experience: - Food: Good, but very small portions for relatively high prices. - Service: Not paying attention to customers or details, rather careless. - Atmosphere: Average, but with loud music. All in all, not a place I’d visit again.
I had wonderful dinner with my wife and friend there. It has been one year since I last time visited Suliko, so I had been waiting for this evening. I haven't visited Russia for one year because of the lockdown. Now I had a chance to visit Russia again, and my first thought was to visit Suliko. We had booked table for us. We had same table as earlier times, very nice. Food was superb like earlier visits, lamb, cheeses, khachapuri, phali and pork. And the waiter was friendly. So you could Imagine it was five star experience. But no. Something happened when we asked for check. I got the check, I looked at the total, and told that I want to give 500 rubles tip. Waiter told, that the tip is already added there. WHAT??? Ok. Who told to do that? Add the tip on the bill without asking me? Not me. You should not add tip without asking the customer. Maybe they added this tip without asking me, because I was foreigner enjoying good food with Ararat, wine and beer. I have been visiting Suliko probably 20 times over the years. I visited Suliko first time 6 years ago, they still had that wooden oven. I fell in love with this place and their food, and this has always been my number 1 restaurat to visit in St Petersburg This was the first time when they did this tip thing. Customer decides if he wants to tip, and how much, not restaurant. Would have been five star experience without this tip thing, but now I rate this experience only two stars.
Good meal, espesially chees plate and pickled vegetables. service was a bit slow, but when they did come, very attentive.
