Excellent fine dining experience. I would say they could very well qualify for a Michelin star. The only flat, the staff does not speak English and when asked for a dessert card, they said that the kitchen was already closed. You need to warn in advance. p.s. Filet mignon was melting in mouth. It is a must try dish 👌
Amazing birthday meal, the birthday ‘cake’ was memorable and the food - divine
Artest has excellent food. I ordered a la carte and the mashed potatoes (French puree) I have ever had. The appetizers (Argentinian beef carpaccio) and main course (ravioli with veal) were incredible. The black beetroot chocolate mousse was amazing. For a former 2 star Michelin restaurant, the prices were pretty reasonable.
My wife and I dined there in May. It was her birthday. A table had been booked five days in advance. Nestled in a XIXth century mansion, it occupies both storeys. They reserved a table for us on the first (Russian second) floor. Service was flawless, the ambience was gorgeous, but their food seemed to be prepared in the name of culinary art but not for, let me say, consumption. (A typical approach of three-star Michelin facilities, by the way.) Therefore, we could hardly understand what we were tasting, even after detailed explanations of our waitress, Darina. We chose some rabbit pâté, cabbage with foie gras, an onion pie with "coffee beetroot" (what the heck is this?!), scallops, a halibut pie, black cod, plus a White Rose cake and a caramelized quince for dessert. A glass of Sancerre by Domaine Michel Thomas & Fils and an Aloë non-alcoholic cocktail crowned our feast. In a nutshell, we liked our dinner. Too pompous, of course, but that's a tribute to the Award. It cost us more than RUR 21,000 (≈ USD 270). Well, it's a two-star Michelin oojamaflip, after all. Recommended. Just "recommended", without "strongly". (Parking is a real headache there, by the way.)
