We wanted to try Russian food, and this place was flawless. The food was delicious, though the portions were a bit small. The service was amazing, while not all the staff spoke English, they did everything to assist us. It was a very nice and authentic experience.
Food was outstanding. The place has a nice modern atmosphere. From the outside it seems like a small place but it's very spacious inside. Decoration is great although some seats are a bit uncomfortable just to keep the place stylish. The service was a bit worse than the food but having to communicate in English may explain this situation. In general I would recommend this place for trying great quality Russian food!
It was my first time in Russia, and Matryoshka was the first restaurant I dined at. It’s a lovely place, and I really liked the interior. Alex, our waiter, was very friendly—he was the first Russian to smile at me🥰. I’m usually very choosy with food, but unexpectedly, I enjoyed all the Russian dishes we ordered.
It is an establishment that I recommend to those who are in love with Russia or those who want to come for a long stay, to visit the country. I was surprised by the cuisine, fine food and impeccable service. A chef very attentive to his guests, that’s what I appreciated. I recommend this place in Russia.
