We had a great experience from A to Z. The staff made us feel confortable combined wjth a A class service. All dishes were explained in details highlighting the massive work of the chefs. Wine selection is very large :) Will definitely come back on another trip in the capital.
Great French cuisine! Everything was excellent - meat, pasta, ceviche!
We booked a short, last minute, trip to Prague and booked this restaurant whilst we were waiting to fly into the country. Was a little worried they had space at the last minute but... so glad they did. Beautiful cosy restaurant, fantastic service from the second you walk through the door. We had the Taster Menu with wine pairing, never raved about a soup before, but it was so flavourful and cleverly done. Personally, the dessert wasn't quite what we'd hoped but was traditional. The wines were fantastic, paired so well! After tax and a tip it was around £200 which is great value for money.
We arrived 30min after opening, the restaurant was not busy and welcome was very warm. After the placement at the table I choose as starter the Mahi Mahi, main course the monkfish and for dessert the plum filled dumplings. Freshly baked bread rolls and two kind of butter where very fast served, but the service skills where very poor. Hitting every glas at the table and pushing around. The warm bread rolls and the butter was very tasty, we also get some homemade baguett. Which was very good too but cold. The Mahi Mahi ceviche was very tasty and the flavors where pretty good balanced. The restaurant getting by the time a little bit fuller but easy to handle for the staff, but now the service went down in attention and overview. Empty glasses, no asking about the: "how was the dish". The Monkfish with hazelnut crust was ok. The hazelnut crust was no crust, just soggy mass. The fish was a little bit undercooked and some flavors were overwhelming over flavors. It was not blanced and to much strong flavors where killing the main ingredients. A big no go is that the little jug with the sauce has a big chip at the top and the kitchen or the service saw this issue. This time an other waiter asking about the thinking and had good service skills. But the thing with the jug was not so good handled. After this a little secret course where send. A pistachio creme brulee. It was OK. But I would prefer a cleanser after the starter before the main course. The plum filled dumpling were very good and tasty, but when I order 3 courses and not a tasting menu, I would recommend 3 dumplinigs not just 2, this is a little bit weak for the cash. But the tasting was pretty good and every flavor came nice out, step by step. But when the plates were taking, no asking about how it was or do you want a coffee. I just have a problem with this kind service when the prices are at this level and the restaurant is at the level fine dining. The "Good bye" was very warm again. Overall I would come back for a second try. But the whole experience has to get much better.
