Delicious food and excellent service. The view was beautiful and paired well with the food. I learned a lot about Filipino food after eating here. The staff did a great job, thanks! I left the restaurant and forgot my pack at the table. Staff rushed out and brought my bag. Thanks for saving me, folks!
Would NOT RECOMMEND. The moment we stepped into Harbor View Restaurant, the service was already disappointing. NO ONE assisted us with seating, and we had to figure it out ourselves. We WAITED HOURS for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, the SERVINGS WERE SMALL, and the FLAVORS were bland. For the PRICE, it was absolutely NOT WORTH IT. To make matters worse, the waitstaff PRIORITIZED customers who ARRIVED AFTER US, serving them FIRST. I even had to go to the cashier MYSELF just to settle the bill because no one was attentive enough to assist. Overall, a POOR EXPERIENCE.
Restaurant view is beautiful but the food is not delicious. BEWARE! Do not be con by the horse Carriage man who go all out to SCAM you. Here is our story. On 4 Oct 2024, my wife and me had just finished our dinner at Harbor view restaurant around 8pm. While waiting for our grab taxi at restaurant road side, we were approached by this horse Carriage man with thin moustache (Mark, 25 yrs old, must be fake name and age) keep on insisting to bring us to our next destination Mall of Asia. The horse Carriage man keep on telling us he only charge 50 peso to bring us to Mall of Asia. We politely rejected his offer as we sense something is not right and continued waiting for our grab taxi. After waiting for 20mins, still no sign of our taxi, I decided to called our taxi driver again but at this point the horse Carriage man said he will help to speak to the taxi driver in Tagalog. After hanging up the call we realised he told the taxi driver to cancel our booking. At this point, since we don't have the taxi and we wanted to leave the place fast and was so pressured by this horse Carriage man keep on telling us he only charge us 50 peso for the ride. We finally give in to him knowing there might be consequences. True enough after around 13mins ride he told us he can only reach here somewhere after manila bay and telling us to walk to Mall of Asia just a short distance ahead which is totally rubbish and not true. Before we were allow to get down, he asked to pay up. We gave him 200 peso instead of what he agreed at 50 peso. At this point he suddenly turn quite violent telling us, he never said 50 peso but 1,500 peso. We said no no you repeatedly said 50 peso only for the ride to MOA. He used his hand to block us from getting down the Carriage. My wife was so shocked and scared worry he would hurt us because he seem violent if we not pay him what he asked. I shout at him and said he is lying and scam us. After seeing my wife so scared and not to cause trouble, I decided to pay him 1,500 peso what he asked for. After he took 1,200 peso from us while I still trying to give him another 300 peso he suddenly said no, it 5,000 peso not 1,500peso. At this instance moment, I was boiling and shout at him louder saying we are willing to pay you 1,500 peso to stay out of trouble but never 5,000 peso. He still insisted again for 5,000 peso but I said NO and and we don't have so much money and finally gave him another 500 peso which make up a total of 1,700 peso for the ride of hell. This is the worst experience we ever encountered overseas. Please help us to spreads around this incident to take down the syndicate who run horse Carriage ride to cheat tourists. Thank you & stay safe! Regards, Roger Kho Singapore 🇸🇬
This is a lovely little spot for local cuisine and for pretty views over the harbour in the evening. Lots variety on the menu and it seemed fairly reasonable by UK standards. The only downfall was trying to get a split bill (work dinner so individuals claiming back) which eventually materialised that it could be done quite easily the wait just didn't want to.
