The atmosphere is cozy and laid back. Loved the tacos and the quesadilla. The shrimp burrito with rice tasted weird for me. The rice was not my favorite and there was a piece of eyelash i think on my friend’s piece, she did not end up eating the whole thing and i just ate the shrimps 😭. Staff is are polite and kind they fave us complimentary dessert which was also just okay.
all tacos that we’ve ordered were good! just the right amount of flavour - not too overly seasoned. what really was the highlight here were the sauces; complemented every taco and made it 10x better. would definitely come back to try other things in the menu
Both the carnitas and fish tacos were good though the carnitas was a bit salty. Horchatas was good but the ran out. My colleague enjoyed the shrimp burrito which was very substantial. Would not recommend it for business lunches because the space echoes and is very noisy.
If your idea of Mexican food is gaudy decor, waiters wearing sombreros and massive portions with triple cheese, don’t go to Lagrima. A quick glance from the outside doesn’t give much away about this place, but look a bit closer and you’re in for a surprise. These folks are serious about their quality, and in fact as a Tex-Mex kind of guy I felt a bit out of my depth looking through the menu. Luckily, our server was very knowledgeable about each menu item and made good recommendations. We ordered street tacos (3 pieces), nachos to share and a quesadilla, plus a couple of delicious fruit juices. It came to something like 1500 pesos all in, and it was more than enough for us. I couldn’t help walking away from this place feeling educated, like it was the first time I’d ever eaten Mexican food. No mariachi music here, only really good grub.
