We ate inside but the smell when u open the restroom mixing with the food creating nauseas. The tamal ver was so delicious, def u have to ask for at least one. The ceviche was good and fresh if you dont like spicy request the level of spice. The conchas negras ceviche was good. The jalea was tasty but came with the fish bones so be aware cause they didnt mention that. The arroz con mariscos is nothr style so no creamy. Was like a rice with seafood with a small crab was tasty. The chicha morada (purple drink) was good. Portions were ok.

Excellent northern (Piura) style northern food. We had the tamalitos verdes (best tamales of my life!), mero pasado por agua (a very meaty white fish lightly cooked in lime with onions, yuca, beans, and corn), and seco de cabrito (lamb stew served with rice, beans and yuca - a little salty but still very good). Expensive prices but very large portions - the dishes above were enough to feed four people with leftovers! The only credit card they take is Visa (no MasterCard).

Below average The location in Miraflores is a very poor version of the original restaurant in Magdalena. Duck rice is a disappointing juiceless dish, and the majarisco, well..likewise…scant seafood, small plate for two people… So, bottom line, stick to the classic location near ave Sucre in Magdalena district. It is a pity this location is damaging the well earned reputation of the name.

Came here with family to try something different since my family comes from the north region and they understand and know about northern style of cooking, which is occasionally filled with various herbs and spices and can be heavy on the stomach. Looking at the menu prices start from 60 soles for sharing dish and upwards so you can easily spend 100's of soles - place looked that it definitely need of an urgent refurbishment. I am quite surprised charging this sort of prices at least you would feel comfortable eating where you seat which I surely didn't. I have been to local places and have loved it but this is very different. Apart from the decor, we ordered mixed seafood rice platter - came after 40 mins or so the waiter mentioned its freshly prepared. It came and tried it everything was very oily, taste of some herb which and mixed seafood was cooked awfully long so it made the dish very difficult to cogitate. The taste was bland. We really didn't enjoy it, moreover after this ordeal one of my family members gotten ill with their stomach especially related to mixed seafood (if this isn't cleaned or cooked properly she really gets a health scare). To wrap it all up I would prefer to go somewhere else and spend my 100's of soles where food is and surely not overcooked and its priced reasonably and most of all its hygienic so won't be going there again.
