An authentic malay restaurant 10mins drive from KLCC. All dishes with the right amount of spices used and flavourful. Even the satay is common dishes but this is good especially its satay peanut sauce. They offer tuak cocktail which is not common in West Malaysia.
What can I say? The food is truly delicious!! Impeccable service, and the atmosphere is very nice. We absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy Malaysian cuisine!
I had last visited Bijan about 10 years ago as a corporate dinner and it was outstanding. This time I came with my wife and it was a meal we were very much looking forward to. Some things don't really change. The look of the restaurant was much the same as it was 10 years ago. But the thing that struck me was that it's a restaurant that largely caters to corporate diners. And the service appears very much geared to that where they perhaps expect very generous ordering - both food and drink. We asked our waitress for some recommendations and felt that she was steering us towards the more expensive items. We were keen to have a rendang type dish and we were 'pushed' into ordering opor rusuk, which was about 30% more expensive than others, but the size of the dish was far too large for the two of us. As for the taste - I would say it was alright but by no means outstanding. The same went for the satay, which was a little tough while the sotong hitam manis was way too sweet. Overall, a disappointment.
After few days of eating delicious street food, this was a nice change. It was pricey but good food. Service was meh. Not up to western standards.
