Wong Ah Wah Restaurant, located in the bustling Jalan Alor of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is a vibrant eatery that captures the essence of local Chinese and Malaysian cuisine. Known for its lively atmosphere and spacious seating, it has become a hotspot for both locals and tourists seeking a taste of authentic street food. The restaurant is particularly famous for its roast chicken wings and satay, which many patrons rave about, although some reviews suggest a decline in the authenticity of the food over time. Food was ok. We had mixed skewers, wings, seafood fried rice and fried stingray. Service seemed a chore. Dishes put to table, no comments, bill expected to be paid after 2 dishes presented which seemed strange, and then again after nxt, which didn't happen, what if we want more which we did, but just drinks. Think that "food street" not the best. Pics, sorry, we'd started the rice already, late pic. Won't be back.
Wong Ah Wah Restaurant in Jalan Alor Kuala Lumpur. A local Chinese cuisine in Malaysia. It used to be good place to experience local food. Their chicken wing is true masterpiece. Unfortunately the food isn't authentic anymore! Another place overwhelming by tourists !!
Rude staff, racist, disrespectful, ignore and pretend like the customers don't exist. Gets worst with time. I come here with clients for years and the last 6 months. Each visit is worst than the next. Uncle In picture is super rude and in bad mood always as though ppl owe him money. Never again!!! The local chinese staff who take the orders treat the foreign servers so badly. Don't deserve the business they get when they don't treat ppl with respect. So bad!
Last week I visited this restaurant with my friends, most of them were first time visitors in Malaysia. Most of my friends were so happy about foods here and enjoyed the food stall street atomosphere. Chicken Wing, Satay, and Baby Kairan were very delicious👍 Butter Prawn and Cher Kway Teow were average taste. In some other comment, some people say “service was bad😤” and “we were ignored 😡”. But, I’d say those are the part of cultural difference. So, why not enjoy delicious & budget friendly local food and cultural experience 😁
