Parking can be a problem during peak time. Entrance is unassuming and don’t look under the restaurant during low tide to not spoil your appetite as it is unsightly. The atmosphere beside the river with some breeze is nice. The food is ok but nothing special and the standout for me was the butter milk prawns and the lala mee hoon. For a 3 hour return trip, there are many other places to try so I will likely not return.
I brought the prawn and squid over to cook. The sambal lady fingers were good, but the small prawn bihun was very disappointing. The fried squid batter was too thick, while the prawn steamed egg was good. Their lala was fresh, but the taste was just okay. We waited for about an hour and a half, and parking is limited.
Value for money. Taste is good, seafood is fresh. Must try salted pi shrimp. Car park space not much. When I'm reaching there around 8.++pm on Sunday just few tables people, so don't need waiting too long hours for my meals.
It was interesting as the restaurant was like a Kelong with wooden floor boards and above the sea with fishing boats moored nearby. The seafood was absolutely fresh and cooked to perfection. Arrived piping hot and extremely flavourful. Though there were the usual few house flies buzzing about, it was still pretty hygienic and clean. Despite it being a warm afternoon, the sea breeze kept temperatures within the restaurant at bay. A very delicious and pleasant which cost us a very reasonable RM 76.
