Worth it! Probably the best restaurant I have ever been to. The chef is an artist. He’s a poet. He’s very skilled in his profession. The personalized touches he adds to the restaurant like artwork makes this place so much more appreciated. The food was gastronomical, tasty, creative and so perfect! We loved our experience here. Sake pairing was amazing! If you have the chance, this is 100% worth it. We were SO full at the end we could barely breathe!
I was half expecting to see edible gold foil, caviar, and foie gras at Hajime, but what we got was an incredible, artistic, culinary experience. (Note: there was foie gras.) Many of the dishes interacted/played with our senses. The most notable one for me was The Evening Shower, where I was given a leaf that held grapefruit and yuzu jelly. The service was mostly excellent. My only wish was that the sommelier could spend a bit more time explaining the wine pairing to us. There were a few times when it felt rushed, or he simply didn't have time to explain the wine to us because the next course was about to be served. Overall, we had a lovely meal at Hajime. Thank you, Chef Yoneda and team!
Wow what an amazing experience from staff, to location, the minimal dining room, the overall ambience, every aspect was outstanding. Disclaimer: be prepared to sit at your dining experience for 4 hours. This is not for the faint hearted and those with little patience. Having dined at many Michelin star restaurants in the past, I always have high expectations but the food here blew me away. The moment you walk in the minimal dining room, the darkness made everything feel very intimate. Chef Hajime’s creations were not only well conceived but also executed well, truly deserving of the three Michelin stars. The gastronomy based cuisine was exquisite, and the stand out dish “Planet Earth” had an array of ingredients that I would never imagined working together but wow it was phenomenal. Definitely an experience worth paying for and one you’ll remember, I’m so happy to have experienced Hajime Dining with my best friend.
This place was so good, I had waves of good energy in my body for 3 days after my meal. Usually, when I enjoy fine dining, the good energy only lasts for one day. Also, Hajime greets each guest at the end with a gift to take home. We received a tea jam. I have never had an experience such as this!
