As others said, it was a little hard to find but the other poster who uploaded photos was very helpful in finding the restaurant. We reserved this restaurant and it was an intimate experience with about 8 people including us who dined in. This restaurant definitely knows how to cater to English speaking clients and native Japanese customers. Although the chef did not speak too much to us in English, he presented a binder in English introducing himself, some personal facts about his family and how he got started, and wrote about the people who helped him in the restaurant. What an excellent idea, this was the only restaurant we visited that went above and beyond for tourists.l in this way. Granted, this was a bonus and I’m just in shocked the chef took the time to do this. Not only that, my husband and I used Google translate to communicate to him and his 2 assistants preparing the food. We wanted to make sure they knew how touched we were by their efforts and friendliness. The sushi was so fresh and amazing and the chef interacted with everyone in the group. We were so lucky that even a man and his wife ordered us a glass of sake when they realized it was our honeymoon celebration. This was such an amazing experience during our 2 week stay in Japan. We loved every piece of sushi and other non sushi dishes served. It was amazing, and we would definitely eat there again when we go to Osaka again!
Wide range of dishes inc sashimi to sushi with 3 types of tuna. Abalone was good n so was eel. No akagai though. Has limited wines besides sake.
Wonderful welcome to Osaka. This restaurant is fabulous and each dish is truly a work of art and a culinary experience. Highly recommend. Mr. Saki is an artist and can pair flavors together masterfully.
This is a Sushi Restaurant less frequented by Foreigners. So if you love high quality Sushi and you are an adventurous person, this is the place for you. It is tugged up in small lane at the quiet part of town, Reservations are necessary as there are only 5 counter seats and a private room available. 鮨 美菜月 has a 2 seatings arrangement, so u either go there early for dinner or take the latter seating after 8:30pm. Friendly chef-owner who speaks v little English but he has an English Dictionary at the ready. So he has own interpretation of sushi making & presentation, & he adds with his secret family recipe of ingredient & sauce ( he says its from his mother) on his dishes.
