What a beautiful meal! We took my sister here to celebrate her 30th birthday. The fish was so fresh that it melted in your mouth and the wagyu beef was unbelievable. We didn’t speak any Japanese but we managed to communicate with the lovely staff through a fun game of charades. Also the sale was delicious. Great value for such a beautiful meal.
Excellent izakaya. Hard to reserve as they don’t speak English, but well worth the effort, excellent sashimi, mushroom tempura, sardines and other fish dishes. Super helpful service, despite the language barrier.
Great food, nice atmosphere, good drinks. However, we were grossly overcharged. We ordered 8 drinks at 850 yen apiece, and 3600 yen worth of sashimi. That should come out to 10400 yen. However, we were given a total for 20000 yen, on an un-itemized receipt. So they either have a very high cover charge that they didn't tell us about, or we were scammed. Either way, avoid this place unless you are very skilled with Japanese, as they might try to pull something.
I have been to this restaurant for several years with my family or with my colleagues, most of who are westerners. In Osaka most of the traditional Japanese restaurant are allowed to smoke inside. But this restaurant is smoke-free in a strict sense. Very nice fresh Japanese cuisines are kindly served in an relaxing ambience by an excellent chef and staff. Fresh fish is highly recommended. You can choose Sashimi (sliced raw fish) or grilled fish. All of them are very fresh, brought from the southern sea, especially Shikoku and Kyushu islands every day. Fresh beef, pork and chicken are also available which can be cooked as you wish. Wine is available in addition to Japanese liquor. What is important is that smoking is strictly prohibited inside the restaurant. You are advised to reserve as soon as you want to eat Japanese cuisine in Osaka. Easy access from every station in Umeda area.
