Delicious deep fried skewers! There’s actually an English menu which we were surprised by since other reviews said there wasn’t one. We were prepared to point and order! Otherwise, cash only. Get the tendons, lotus root, sausage, and scallops. Everything is made to order in front of you and the cabbage complements the fried food really well. No double dipping! Btw, came a few days ago when google maps showed they were open and they were closed. Google map hours might not be super reliable for this place so if you really wanna try it, would recommend coming back another day if they randomly happen to be closed (that’s what we did).

Our first stop in Osaka was Shinsekai and this is one of the top recommended places to have kushikatsu. The one next door has a long queue hence we decided to try this. We seldom eat deep fried food but we enjoyed our dinner here - dipping the deep fried skewers into the sauce and gulping it down with cold beer. This has a local food vibe.

Compare to 八重勝,this shop has more local than tourist. They speak limited English but staff are friendly. They even try to speak mandarin I like the tendon in miso sauce. The prawn is excellent. The shop is a bit smoky with oil smell & some people smoke in the shop too. Kids might not like it. A good place to try the deep fried stuff.
