APRIL 2023 Came here for late night snack and wait time was not that long. Tried the signature pepper coated fried chicken wings and it was salty and tasty, but I think I prefer the wings with the sweet black sauce glaze which was more meaty and juicy. Food and service was good.
Unpleasant experience with staff and overpraised food. The waitress's fingers were directly in contact with the inner wall of the bowl for food and I believe that was not very sanitary. This also led to a distress among us. (me and my family) Doesn't worth its fame, doesn't worth the drama. If you can't make it good, please at least keep it clean. If you failed to do so, fix it instead of running away and pretend nothing happened. Very dissapointing...
Nagoya has become synonymous with fried chicken wings. There are 2 main restaurant chains that we tried. Personally, I prefer the fried chicken wings from Yamachan. It's very tasty. They put a lot of black pepper, so there's some bite. The pieces are small, though. So keep that in mind when you order. Instead of a cover charge, they require each person to order a drink. There was a queue when we got there, but the line moves quickly.
The restaurant is well known because of reviews and yes this is the one you should try as a mission when visit Nagoya. The restaurant is not far from Sakae area. Chicken wing is the must try dish and it taste good. As well as another menu ( I ordered Pork skewer and fried rice). The atmosphere and decoration are great but because of I am not a smoking person so it make me feel a bit upset with the smoke in the restaurant.
