Indian coffee house is a legendary place and so is the food served here. The ambiance is very calm yet bustling with people's chattering. Plenty of tables and seating space. Very old school. A must visit place. I ordered tomato soup which was thick and tangy. I also ordered hot coffee and egg fried rice. Everything I ordered was simple yet very tasty.
If you visit the historic Indian Coffee House in Kolkata, it’s a must-see spot. This iconic place is perfect for soaking in old-world charm and enjoying a laid-back chat. Now, about the food—our experience wasn’t great. We ordered two regular coffees and one fish cutlet. It took them around 30 minutes to serve. The coffee cost ₹30 per cup, and the fish cutlet ₹110. Unfortunately, the coffee was disappointing, and the fish cutlet was very average, definitely not worth the price. While I wouldn’t recommend the food, the vintage vibe of the place is worth experiencing at least once.
