It's easily one of the top 3 South Indian restaurant chains in Tamil Nadu, IMO. I've been coming here for more than 20 years, and the quality is just as good as it was back then. The restaurant isn't usually crowded, except during peak times (breakfast, lunch times). There are some steep steps leading up to the restaurant, so you need to be careful if you have mobility issues. Parking is ample, with additional parking available in the nearby Avantra by Trends outlet.
Definitely a must to visit this branch everytime I come to Chennai. Amazing food especially variety of chutneys. Sakkarai ponggal is a must try. Govindaraj anna was prompt with the orders taking and served us in a friendly manner. Thank you!
Delicious, fresh, hygienic. It was a pleasure to eat at Murugan. Whenever I will come to this city I will certainly have one meal here
The idli’s were good but it ended there. The servers were pleasant. They seemed to run out of food as some basic items were not available. The T Nagar outlets are probably a better option
