=> Toran Dining Hall is located in the centre of the city and serving since 1991 with the same authentic Gujarati taste. => Here you can have unlimited thali filled with 3-4 seasonal sabji, Chapati roti, Bhakhri, puri, two types of Farsan, Dal, Kadi, Rice, Khichdi, two types of sweets, Salad, Papad, butter milk. (Note: This may change season to season.) => Please be aware of the fact that all the shabjis will have a little sugar content here, so if you are ok with it, you can definitely try it. => The price was nominal as compare to the variety of dishes full of taste & aroma served by them. => The front view of the restaurant looks stunning with excellent lighting and wall painting inside. => The servers were always remained ready to serve as soon as you finish something. Sometime they don’t listen to you and serve the food anyways whether you want or not. => They have very limited space and we have to wait for a while to get our turn to have a table. => They have limited street parking space. => Note: Try to avoid visiting it on weekends, as you may have to wait a lot.
During my recent visit to Ahmedabad, we were looking for a place to enjoy authentic Gujarati thali meals, and we found Toran Restaurant. It was an amazing experience! The restaurant has a great ambiance, which immediately made us feel comfortable. They serve only thali meals during lunchtime, and the variety of dishes is incredible. From puris, chapatis, and doklas to several curries, sweets, and other items, the spread seemed endless! The staff kept serving more as soon as we finished something, allowing us to eat as much as we wanted. Many of the curries had a slightly sweet taste, which is typical of Gujarati cuisine. The meal ended with basmati rice, making it a completely satisfying experience. The quality of every dish was excellent, and the service was prompt and friendly. For anyone who loves authentic Gujarati food and enjoys a high-class vegetarian meal, I highly recommend Toran Restaurant. The cost for two people was around ₹800, which is very reasonable considering the location, ambiance, and the overall experience. It was a unique and memorable lunch, and I would definitely visit again!
My family has long been enthusiasts of Toran Gujarati Thali, and we decided to revisit this establishment for lunch on July 7, 2024, with a group of fifteen. Unfortunately, all of us experienced severe stomach issues the following day, July 8, 2024. All were suffering from chronic diarrhoea and stomach cramps
My family has been a fan of Toran Gujarati Thali and after more than a decade we decided to visit this place for lunch on 7 July 2024. We were five members. Sadly all of us have suffered severe stomach disorder on Monday I.e 8 July2024. I have had to vomit at least four times apart from chronic loose motions and cramps in the stomach. Similar with my son too. Since I was quite used to the taste of their Thali I found something different in taste. Food was very pungent and did not taste fresh. Very unusual for this restaurant. Iam just sharing my experience with their Gujarati Thali on 7 July24.
