Tomato's is one of Ahmedabad's iconic landmarks on the gastronomic landscape. It's been around for many years now. The place still has an amazing ambience to it. The can be a notch or two up. Unless it was only today. The chicken parmesan and lasagna were not exactly what was expected. The fries were passable at best. The service was slow considering we were only the second table that was occupied.
For the first time in 2 decades was I so disappointed with food and service yesterday evening. Food served cold. Jacket potatoes with sour creme was sadly cold, Pizzas bore a terrible base. The red dip was stale, Mexican hot pot served cold. Except paneer.... including non veg was packed and given to a road side beggar. Our one goto place turned out to be a disappointing experience.
The service as well as the food was really good. I loved how they’ve themed the place as a Rock and Roll themed diner atmosphere. We had the mexican half pot and fresh lime sodas and churros. Loved the churros
